Challenge
For years, Bayer used a different charting software. However, costs kept rising, and eventually, over 6,000 users required licenses. Bayer sought a solution that would ensure both brand consistency and efficiency - available to all employees without additional costs.
Process
Bayer conducted an in-depth proof of concept to evaluate empower® as an alternative. Users were able to confirm that all essential charting features were available and that existing charts could be converted smoothly. In the end, more than 95% of users were convinced and switched to empower® after the previous license expired - only a few remained on the old software.
Result
Bayer has been using empower® successfully for many years. The switch has saved the company millions in licensing and administrative costs. The need for efficient chart creation remains high, and empower® continues to be widely used and valued by its users.
Challenge
DHL Post & Paket needed a scalable, cost-effective solution for creating charts in PowerPoint. In addition to the high licensing costs of their previous software, license management proved to be especially burdensome: every year, the actual license requirement had to be reassessed - involving an external service provider and weeks of coordination.
Process
Following an extensive testing phase involving numerous users, DHL Post & Paket selected empower® as the company-wide add-in for PowerPoint charting. Implementation was swift and rolled out across the organization to around 24,000 users under an enterprise license.
Result

Grünenthal was looking for a cost-effective alternative to their existing PowerPoint charting software - one that would also reduce the high maintenance effort caused by frequent Microsoft 365 updates.
Process
Grünenthal conducted a thorough evaluation of empower®. The management adopted the stance that switching would remain a good idea unless proven otherwise. Since no compelling argument against the switch was found, the transition moved forward.
Result
Today, Grünenthal uses empower® as its central charting add-in in PowerPoint. Because it operates independently of Office program code, the IT team faces minimal update effort - while enjoying predictable licensing costs.
