Create shortcuts for Word styles

If you use specific format styles in Word very often, you can assign shortcuts to them. Learn how to create shortcuts for Word styles in five easy steps.

Shortcuts for Word styles in 4 steps

  1. Right-click on the desired style and select "Modify".


  2. A "Modify Style" window opens where you can adjust settings for the style. 


  3. Click on the "Format" menu button at the bottom left.



  4. Another window will open. Select the "Shortcut key" entry field and press the key you want to assign to your style.


  5. Then click on the "Assign", "Close" and "OK" buttons.


  6. When you press the previously determined key combination, the selected text will be formatted with the corresponding style sheet.
