Working in Excel can be tedious and exhausting. Luckily, there are a lot of [Excel hacks and shortcuts](https://www.empowersuite.com/en/blog/excel-hacks-shortcuts) that can make your work easier. For example, instead of laboriously entering one and the same value by hand into different cells or pasting it by copy & paste, you can take the following shortcut:

## Here is how you enter the same value in Excel cells

1. Select all cells into which a value is to be entered (you can also select individual cells by holding down the *"Ctrl"* key).
2. Type in the value.
3. Confirm with *"Ctrl + Enter"*.

**The result:** The desired value is entered in all previously selected cells in one step.
