Quickly enter the same value in many Excel cells

Working in Excel can be tedious and exhausting. Luckily, there are a lot of Excel hacks and shortcuts that can make your work easier. For example, instead of laboriously entering one and the same value by hand into different cells or pasting it by copy & paste, you can take the following shortcut:

Here is how you enter the same value in Excel cells

  1. Select all cells into which a value is to be entered (you can also select individual cells by holding down the "Ctrl" key).
  2. Type in the value.
  3. Confirm with "Ctrl + Enter".

The result: The desired value is entered in all previously selected cells in one step.
