This month you will get to know our Senior Software Engineer Stephan Venhoven.
In 2017, I decided to leave my old employer and was therefore looking for a company with a good corporate culture, training opportunities and interesting tasks. I found what I was looking for at empower®, where I work today as a Senior Software Engineer.
Every day I am fascinated by the exciting tasks, the good atmosphere in the team and especially the good coffee. I'm an absolute coffee fan, so I often find a coffee cup on a Batman coaster in my workplace. I also have a preference for sweets, so I am very proud that I have the sole sovereignty in our team over the“Who is up with bringing sweets” calendar. In the office you can usually find me quite casual with chucks, jeans and T-shirt. Since there is no dress code in our office, I like to wear a T-shirt, which I got from my colleagues. The reason for this was my first participation in an empower feature.
I hope that soon I will be able to design a feature that will provide rewards for solving specific tasks. For example, I think it would be fun to reward users for inserting the 10.000 empower® Charts within a year. So it is at least in many video games, which is a big hobby of mine.
